On this tour you will see and experience the Sunila neighbourhood - a true representative of functionalist architecture. The suburb was created as early as in the late 1930’s by the architects Alvar Aalto and Aino Aalto. In this vivid community people worked, went to school, and lived in modern apartments enjoying all new conveniences, such as central heating and electricity - and the spirit of togetherness was strong.
